Hanthana Night 2026: Bringing the spirit of Peradeniya to Sydney
On 26 September 2026, PUAAN alumni, families and friends gathered at Pioneer Theatre, Castle Grand, for an unforgettable evening celebrating the friendships and memories that began at Peradeniya.
Live music by Redemption, comedy by Shash Kapur, delicious food by Ceylonia, and a lively dance floor made it a night to remember. Duke Ramachandran kept the evening flowing as MC, while RoyGrafix captured the special moments.
Thank you to our sponsors, supporters, committee, volunteers and everyone who joined us. For one evening, the hills of Hanthana felt a little closer to Sydney.
Share your favourite moments on our Facebook page, stay connected and invite other alumni to join the PUAAN community.
PUAAN donates audiovisual equipment to the Peradeniya University’s IT Centre
On 29 September 2026, PUAAN-funded audiovisual equipment was handed over to the University of Peradeniya’s IT Centre, supporting recovery efforts following damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
The donation was made possible by generous contributions from PUAAN members, coordinated by the Executive Committee.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor accepted the equipment on behalf of the University, with Nalin Karunatilaka representing PUAAN at the handover.
Thank you to every member who contributed—your generosity reflects our enduring connection to Peradeniya and our commitment to supporting its community.
